EG-Research

The Early Research Program is an EGSciences initiative focused on orientating university students to conduct investigations on fields of interest to them. The aim of this program is to improve the analysis and to conduct further investigations of a specific topic in geosciences and engineering Students are supported by principal investigators, who are professionals or academics, specialists in areas such as mining, engineering, geology, and civil engineering.

During 2020, 13 research topics were carried out:

“Exploration and mining potential of gold and cobalt in “Cordillera de la Costa”. A study of Tectonics and metallogeny in the Central-South Andes”

Principal investigator: Felipe Reinoso, PhD (c).

"Soil-structure interaction: Use of micropiles as foundations, slope protections and retaining”

Principal investigator: Civil Engineer Charbel Chapana
